inStumbled upon somewhat desolated street and office door on one of the side streets. Lawrence Gonzi (Nationalist Party) was the prime minister before incumber Joseph Muscat (Labour). His younger brother Michael has also been involved in Maltese politics for a long time. Tabib means doctor. Avukat… I’ll leave it for you to figure out. No, not avocado.

inI know, I’ve missed a couple of days again. To make that up, here are five photos from the Fort St. Elmo (actually one of them isn’t from the fort itself), which was re-opened today after a restoration project that lasted for a few years.
Marching band gathering at the City Gate. They were then to proceed the whole way along the Republic Street down to the Fort St. Elmo for the official re-opening.
There were no admission fees, so quite lengthy queues were formed.
A view over a part that’s still off the limits for the general public.
Beautiful work.
The crowd was mainly made up of locals.
